HI!!!! I am SO happy to be your teacher this year! Use this page to learn a little about me. To the left you see my immediate family. That's my mom, Sue. She was a Pre-K teacher for 11 years. She is the one that inspired me to be a teacher. That's me in the blue dress! My husband Randy is on the far right end. My sister, Emily is the bride. She is two years older than me and works at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. The groom is her husband, Brent and they have a beautiful baby girl named Braelyn! That is my dad, Jimmy on the far left. My dad traveled most of our lives. He recently retired as a General in the Air National Guard. He spent three years in Washington DC as the Deputy Director of Human Resources over the United States for the Air National Guard. He was in active duty for 40 years. He and my mom love to spend time together now that my sister and I are out on our own and they are retired. It has always been interesting growing up with my family but I would never trade it for the world! :)
- On November 1, 2014 I married the love of my life, Randy. We had the wedding of our dreams at Fox Hall Sporting Club in Douglasville. My husband graduated from Georgia Southern with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration with a focus in Logistics. He works for a small Norwegian company called G2 Ocean here in Smyrna. They own all of their own ships and they ship big container projects all around the world. Randy travels a lot, but it gives me lots of quality time with my adorable 5.5 year old puppy, Ellie and our daughter, Hadley Savannah.
This is our baby girl, Hadley Savannah Hillsman! She is 2.5 years old! She is truly our pride and joy! She was born on December 11, 2016 and we couldn't love her more. Being her parents has been the best gift and we love her more than words can express. :)
In April 2015, I graduated from the University of West Georgia with my Masters degree in Early Childhood Education. That is me and my husband on graduation day! Summer 2016 I finished my specialist degree in Early Childhood Education from UWG as well. I also have a gifted and reading endorsement.
- I love to spend time with my friends and husband as much as I can. Those are my sorority sisters on the right. We all went to the University of West Georgia and were Kappa Deltas. Many say sororities are silly, but I can truly say I have met some lifelong friends. We were all in each other's weddings and have so much fun watching all of our families grow. They are truly my best friends. On the left, there is a picture of my husband and I spending time at our of our favorite places. Randy and I love fitness and love to workout. It is an encouraging and inspiring hobby that we love to do together.
One last picture. This is my family in a nutshell. That's my sister, dad, mom, me, Randy, my mother-in-law, Sung, my father-in-law John, and my brother-in-law, Tommy. The only three missing are my niece (she wasn't born yet), my other brother-in-law, Brent and of course Hadley (wasn't born yet ;)) Randy's mom is from South Korea and moved here after she met John. He met her while in the military. Our families are very close and we love to spend lots of dinners laughing together and spending every holiday together. What a blessing!
